Employee Onboarding and Offboarding Policy
Onboarding Procedure:
Pre-Arrival Preparation:
- Line manager to send out a welcome package, including an employee handbook, company culture document, and first-day agenda.
- IT to set up necessary accounts and equipment. See IT Security Policy for future information.
- Line manager to prepare a 90-day onboarding plan.
First Day:
- Personal welcome by the team and direct manager.
- Orientation session covering company history, mission, and values.
- HR to complete all necessary paperwork.
First Week:
- Introduction meetings with key team members and departments.
- Begin training sessions specific to the role.
- Assign a mentor or buddy for support.
First 90 Days:
- Regular check-ins with line manager and HR.
- Initial performance and feedback review.
- Complete role-specific training and start working on projects.
Ongoing Support:
- Continued access to training and development opportunities.
- Regular team and company-wide meetings to foster inclusion.
Offboarding Procedure:
Notification of Departure:
- Employee to provide notice as per contract terms.
- HR to acknowledge receipt and discuss offboarding process.
Exit Interview:
- Conducted by HR or line manager to gather feedback on the employee's experience.
Transition of Duties:
- Employee to document current projects and status.
- Handover meetings with relevant team members.
Final Day:
- Return of company property (ID, equipment, keys etc.). See IT Security Policy for future information.
Post-Departure:
- IT to deactivate accounts and secure data. See IT Security Policy for future information.
- Final paycheck and any relevant documents provided.
- HR to update alumni network and stay in contact for future opportunities.
